88MPH is owned and operated by Kieran Masterton. Kieran has been working in the field of web development since 1998 and has amassed significant experience helping creatives solve problems through the application of technology. His academic background in film theory, experience building OpenIndie, and desire to contribute to the continued evolution of the film industry led Kieran to found 88MPH.

R&D
Research and development is really important to us, we prefer to prototype and test systematically to understand what is best for your audience, film or product. The film industry is very much in a state of flux and we don't believe there are any right and wrong answers at this point. What works is very much still to be determined and R&D plays a vital role in this process.

Build
Typically we work both server-side and client-side building web sites, applications and APIs. We work with technologies like Ruby on Rails, PHP, WordPress, JavaScript (jQuery), HTML5, and CSS3 (Sass) to bring your films and products to life.
Our approach when planning a build is always architectural and based on the nature of the project we will address issues such as scale, interoperability, responsive design, accessibility and performance. At 88MPH we are strong advocates of open source and release our code to the community whenever possible; we would encourage you to do the same.
